August 16, 201622-DEC-2014, Vista, California – Precision Measurement Engineering, Inc (PME), an internationally known oceanographic and limnologic instrument design corporation announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Kristin M Elliott as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Elliott, 32, succeeds her father, Michal Head, 64, who has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer, as part of a transition plan.
Michael, who ran PME for 32 years, had previously announced his plans to withdraw from top management and pursue other interests such as focusing on new product design and engineering for the company. He will act in an advisory role and Chairman of the Board, remaining with the company through the next few years.
Elliott, daughter of Michael, has worked for PME for over 10 years. She obtained her M.B.A. from California State University, San Marcos in 2011. She has marketing, new business, strategic management and operation experience.
“Leadership succession is an important step that PME must take in order to ensure the longevity of the company. We feel that Kristin has the motivation, attitude and perseverance to guide the company to new growth levels and goals,” said Michael Head.
Kristin Elliott will bring a vision to PME that will encompass new pursuits and opportunities, higher growth rate objectives, and the development of leading edge products.
